- Bluegills have been really'' good'' and really ''slow'' depending on the wind. Some fisherman have taken 20 on one night and 2 the next. Waxworms are the answer and the Mill Pond or Beyer's Cove are very good locations for this time of year.
- Northern Pike are over the weeds and big chubs or crankbaits are the best baits for good action. The higher the weeds are the better the action will be. Expect some big fish and don't be surprised by a large musky following your lure.
- Smallmouth are on the drop-offs preparing for winter. Remember good catch and release with these fish as they are already egg-laden for next spring. Have fun with these fish but remember they are vulnerable to over harvest.
- Lake Trout is closed and they are spawning. You may not fish for trout during a closed season. Carefully release any Lake Trout accidentally caught while fishing for other species.
